Welcome to Hansell Child Care, and thank you for considering our center to meet the social, emotional, and basic needs of your child. I am Kassandra Rivera, the Director at Hansell Child Care. I have been with Hansell for about a year now. I am a graduate of Temple University, where I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology.
Prior to becoming the Director here, I worked as a substance misuse prevention specialist in Philadelphia’s public school system. My professional background reflects my passion for prevention and intervention. I firmly believe that early childhood education plays a pivotal role in fostering appropriate social, emotional, behavioral, and cognitive skills in children. These skills are essential for their overall development and empower them to make informed decisions as they grow.
Outside of my professional responsibilities, I indulge in various interests. Traveling, cooking, reading, and spending quality time with my small family are some of the activities I cherish during my leisure time.
Our center is fully licensed by the Department of Public Welfare. All staff members are certified in first aid and CPR as well as fire safety and water safety for our summer months doing water play.
Once again, I extend a warm welcome to you and your child to Hansell Child Care. I am committed to creating a nurturing and enriching environment where your child can thrive and develop to their fullest potential. I sincerely hope you will consider us to serve you and your child. Please feel free to call and schedule a tour.
This program is based on the beginning development of the child including all aspects of physical, social, and emotional growth. We work on infant stimulation through touch, sound, and gross motor movement. Eye-Hand coordination and verbalization are also major parts of our simulation program.
